Casas do Almourão (almourão Houses) are 4 cottages, in rural area, for 16 people, in the shale village of Foz do Cobrão, Vila Velha de Rodão municipality, Castelo Branco district.

The houses emerge with great magnificence on the hillside of the Talhadas mountain range, in an idyllic environment, allowing an extraordinary view over the Ocreza river, the Almourão valley and the Foz do Cobrão village, in a place with a scenic landscape of unique and singular beauty, promoting landscape harmony and preservation of the environment.

This high-quality tourism in the countryside project took into account promoting energy efficiency. Thus, all materials have been selected in order to minimize the negative effects on the environment and all the equipment are of low energy consumption.

With good access, through A23, IP2, IC8 and Beira Baixa railway station (Vila Velha de Rodão station), it is not difficult for visitors to reach Foz do Cobrão. The city of Lisbon is less than 2 hours away and Porto is just over 2:30 h by car.
