In Vale do Tua Regional Nature Park, in the village of Vilas Boas, Vila Flor municipality, Casa de Campo das Sécias, a countryhouse, is at the border between the Portuguese regions of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro Wine Region, a World Heritage Site.

The house was built with natural materials like stone, wood and clay and is related with the practice of agriculture reflecting its territorial and environmental surroundings. Even today, the house preserves the winepress, the wood oven, the old fireplace, once used as a heating source, and the sundial.

It has a prime location towards the two great natural setting of the village and attraction for visitors: Cabeço de Nossa Senhora da Assunção and Mount of Faro.

The house has 7 bedrooms with private bathroom, air conditioning and TV, one of them designed for people with reduced mobility. The common areas are roomy and good to socialize like the living room, equipped with educational games and television, the oven room, where breakfast is served, the jennet shed, now transformed into a store selling regional products, and the yard where it was planted the garden to support the house and where you can now see a wide range of flowers and plants, including “Sécias” (the Portuguese name for the flower known as China Aster) and some aromatic species.
