• True ex-libris of Peniche, Nau dos Corvos (European Shag’s ship) or Pedra da Nau (ship rock) is a rock on the ocean near Carvoeiro Cape that looks like a ship. It is common to see European Shags spreading the wings, hence the name. During Autumn and Winter the Great Cormorant can also be seen here, so it is quite easy to compare the two species. With a bit of luck see also the Peregrine Falcon.
