• From the bridge, observe the river Zêzere and the many blocks dragged by the glacier (a moraine).

As the name indicates (caldas means hot waters) , here are the Manteigas hot springs with sulfur-rich waters, used for more than 4 centuries to treat various diseases, such as rheumatism, skin problems, respiratory and musculoskeletal diseases. The thermae are fed by two springs, with emphasis on the so-called "Fonte Santa" (saint fountain) whose waters sprout at a temperature of 42º C.

In Caldas de Manteigas visit also the Zêzere Glacier Valley Interpretive Center and enjoy the picnic area.

In the trout nursery, which takes advantage of the mountain oxygen-rich cold waters, you can see brown-trout and rainbow trout.

On the N338, on the opposite side of the car parking of the trout nursery, on the wall at the side of the road, is an old fountain with the inscription "Fonte Santa Ágoa termal", from which water with therapeutic properties flows. Next to the park, opposite to the previous source, is the new one, built in 1993.
