Share Image
Fraga da Pena is a geological accident crossed by Barroca de Degraínhos, resulting in a set of successive waterfalls framed by riparian vegetation, creating a place of particular beauty.
The vegetation deserves indeed a watchful eye, being made up of oaks, Portugal laurel, English holliesand a set of shrub and herbaceous species, some rare and some old English oaks (Quercus robur) and chestnut trees (Castanea sativa), as also strawberry tree (Arbutus unedo) of Spurge Flax (Daphne gnidium) and Green Olive Tree (Phillyrea latifolia) and False Olive (P. angustifolia).
Given the rugged terrain and the wet floor, take special care during the visit.
