• On the western edge of dam of Póvoa and near a tributary of Nisa river, is Dolmen of Currais do Galhordas, classified as a Site of Municipal Interest, a small funerary structure from the late Neolithic or early Chalcolithic. It consists of a polygonal chamber defined by 7 pillars of granite (one is missing) displaced from the original positions. The hallway was narrow and short, although the bad conservation status makes it difficult to make a precise identification of the structures. The cover slab has an ellipsoidal shape and is near the monument, but overturned.

Not being a particularly detachable monument between the rich heritage of Castelo de Vide, this small dolmen is representative ofthe archaeological heritage of the area of influence of Póvoa’s dam ((in Ulysses, classified heritage information system /DGPC) (in Portuguese).
