Castelo Rodrigo parish church was founded by the Friars of Our Lady of Rocamador Fraternity a congregation dedicated to assist the pilgrims going to Santiago de Compostela (Spain).

 

The primitive church, of Romanesque style, was founded in 13th century, being modified in the 17th and 18th centuries. The most relevant modification was in the ceiling that was covered by panels with figures of painted saints.

 

Only the ceilings are classified as of Property of Public Interest.
