'Monte Velho' Beach

Also known as 'Praia do Porto das Carretas' or 'Praia da Vacaria, this sandy beach is part of the arch Tróia-Sines. This beach has white sands and the waters are cristal clear and seabirds and, very rarely, dolphins can be seen here.
In its surroundings the area is of great natural beauty, with dune structures undergrowth in pine forest and small ponds, which testify the presence of the lagoon system of Santo André.
