Related to the legend of chapel of N. Sra. da Penha construction, after the site was chosen, when people were bringing the image on pilgrimage to Castelo de Vide, they rested in this place and start talking on how to bring water to the construction site. On that moment a vein of water sprouted unexpectedly so it was called "holly source". In the '60s, it was transformed into a fountain with a rest area for who wanted to go to the chapel of N. Sra. da Penha. Nowadays doesn’t have water.
This small cobbled section is part of the road the pilgrims used to take from the village to the hermitages of S. Miguel and N. Sra. da Penha, and allows access to the west hillside of the mountain.
