• Ex-libris of Castelo de Vide, Fonte da Vila (fountain) amaze all who drink its famous medicinal mineral waters that without ceasing spring throughout the region. Its role in urban planning of the old Jewish quarter is undeniable (it is seems the original source was within the Jewish quarter, this one dating back to the fourteenth century), with all the surroundings developed in its function. Five streets start from there, including Fonte (fountain) street.

Probably built in the reign of King João III, in the sixteenth century, it has rectangular shape with a pyramidal roof supported by 6 marble columns. At the center of the tank it has a block with 4 waterspouts surmounted by column base with low reliefs, with the top shaped as a pine cone.

The base of the column shows, in two opposite faces and in bas-relief, have a figure kneeling with open arms, which fingers goes to the other faces, seeming to hold the coats of arms represented there, namely Castelo de Vide shield and another similar to "Portuguese Arms" (in Ulysses, Portuguese heritage information system / DGPC).

It includes a water drinking and a surrounding wall.

On 1953, it was classified as of Public Interest.
