• The Puio cliff is a natural viewpoint over a landscape as beautiful as it is rough, marked by a closed curve of the Douro River that here runs between almost vertical cliffs marking the political frontier between Portugal and Spain. It is in Picote parish, Miranda do Douro, on south end of the village, precisely in the break of the Plateau above the Douro cliffs.

At the north eastern end at the border of the dominant flattened surface and in a slightly altered rock zone it has a small panel with a schematic representation of an archer in the shooting position.
