Azinhal - Common Crane feeding area (Autumn – Winter)

Near Azinhal village is an area with Holm Oak “montado”, rich regarding natural values. This is a feeding area for the Common Crane and the perfect habitat for many game species such as Rabbit, Hare, Partridge and Wild Boar. The “montado” extends to Balança (scale) Mines, witnesses of the ancient mining activity in the area.
