Preguiça viewpoint
Share Image
In the pedestrian route "Ecologia do Carvalhal – Preguiça trail", this belvedere allows you to see, in the south, the rectilinear valley of Gerês river with Caniçada reservoir as background. Turning north, you will be facing the Gerês river source that took advantage of this fracture zone (Gerês / Lovios fault) to run, giving it the rectilinear aspect of this valley.
The Gerês / Lovios is a strike-slip fault, with about 25 km, between Lovios (Spain) and Caniçada that changed the landscape, namely Homem and Cávado river courses.
