Alvados Lagoon
Share Image
Resulting from clay extraction for the ceramics produced there by the Romans, this lagoon and its surroundings are very beautiful. It’s an important water source for agriculture, wildlife and, by the end of the first half of the twentieth century, women washed clothes there.
Next to it, there is a picnic area, and it’s an obligatory stop for seeing the surrounding landscape, before starting the steep climb of Costa de Alvados.
