• Sand beach with tall dunes and marsh vegetation related to Mós stream where several waders can be seen.

    In the cliffs, there are remains of a fish salting factory and ovens of Martinhal Roman site, one of the largest known pottery centers of the Roman province of Lusitania (amphorae and tiles production - fourth century).

    On this beach, in May 1587, the privateer Francis Drake landed 800 men to attack Sagres fortress.

    - Vila do Bispo (about 15 km) - N268. Lagos (about 33 km) - N 125, N268. Before arriving to Sagres turn left to Quinta do Martinhal and park near the beach; or

    - Lagos (about 33 km) - N 125, N268, before Sagres turn left to Quinta do Martinhal and go towards the beach.
