Chapel of Nossa Senhora das Neves
Share Image
On top of the Montejunto hills, stands the Chapel of 'Nossa Senhora das Neves' (Our Lady of the Snows), place of pilgrimage since at least medieval times. It is only known that it was built before the first Dominican convent built on top of the mountain in the thirteenth century.
This Chapel strives for it's simplicity, having only an image of 'Nossa Senhora das Neves' (Our Lady of the Snows) of the sixteenth century. It has a tile panel about the history of the Dominican order.
