In the mountain village of Ermida do Gerês, this trail is named after the cork oak woods that stands out in the mountain landscape, on a slope facing south, overlooking Arado and Fafião rivers. It follows trails and forest paths, passing through places of scenic beauty - such as the waterfall and the Arado valley - and several corrals used by shepherds, especially Malhadoura's corral.

Access

Access to Ermida from:

- Braga - N103 (Chaves) and N304. About 4 km after passing Caniçada bridges, turn right and take CM1276 direction to Ermida.
