• This circular route runs in territory classified as Nature Park and included in the Sintra-Cascais site (Natura 2000 network). Here a fabulous set of monuments from different eras – there are signs of human occupation since Neolithic period - and one of the best European sets of tree flora from all over the world – can be seen here in perfect harmony, the reason why, in 1995, the most part of northern slopes of Sintra’s hill was classified by UNESCO as World Heritage (Cultural Landscape category).
