Socorro hills route (b)
Share Image
Attention part of the route is on asphalt road, so take special care. When it rains avoid doing this route because it gets slippery and sometimes it is quite steep. Socorro hills trail is a circular pedestrian route in the middle of Serra do Socorro and Archeira Local Protected Landscape allowing you to look at the landscape and know the natural, cultural and heritage resources of this area. Part of the path is on the summit of the hill, so you can see one of the wind farms and some of the many windmills that were built in this region, as well as one of the forts of the Torres Lines - Archeira fort - and Our Lady of Socorro hermitage.
