• THIS WALKING PATH IS IN MAINTENANCE. It is a circular pedestrian Small Route starting and finishing in Monte Carvalho. It has two alternatives, choosing between a longer or shorter route. With breathtaking scenery of the valley of Nisa river and Jogo da Bola plateau, the route features living history records. It is precisely these aspects that can be observed along the way. Starting with the most notorious human interventions, associated to natural resources, agriculture (threshing floors) and beekeeping (apiaries walls), to the subtle, associated with agricultural and forestry practices, they all contribute and condition the biotopes where diversity reigns. The river Nisa, centenarian’s chestnuts groves and a magnificent landscape will delight you. It is a good route for a morning with the entire family and friends...
