Montejunto biodiversity station is a 1.8 km circular walk with 8 posters displaying information about biodiversity. The posters offer pictures and text about common plants and animals that can be observed along the way. Most of the trail passes through typical Mediterranean calcareous bushes, ending in a dense forest dominated by chestnut trees.

  • By the northern entrance of the Montejunto mountain, passing through the village of Pragança, following the signs to Real Fábrica do Gelo (Royal Ice Factory) you get to the core of the infrastructure at Montejunto top. Follow the path on the left, and near the Environmental Interpretation Centre, is the panel marking the beginning of the Biodiversity Station (a path).
