  • Avoid the warmer months or seek shelter during the hotter parts of the day. Wear comfortable shoes since the sidewalk of the historic center is very irregular.

    Ask the Mértola tourist office map with the location of several museums in the historic center. Guided tours must be booked at the tour desk with a minimum of one week. The tour runs several museums.
