Located inside the Biological Park of Vinhais, the CIRAP promotes domestic breeds of cattle. Current domestic livestock breeds descend directly from wild species whose domestication began in the Neolithic. The selection of breeding males, the adaptation to different ecosystems and the different forms of exploitation, generated a tremendous genetic diversity.
