The Campo de Gerês Gateway, in Terras de Bouro municipality, is one of the five entrances to the Peneda-Gerês National Park. The gateways are the visitor’s reception facilities, located at the main entrances of the protected area, in relation to the road network. Each gateway has a theme, and the Campo de Gerês Gateway theme is 'History and Civilizations'.
The gateway is divided into two areas: an area dedicated to the reception of visitors and another to the display and sale of regional products. The facilities include general information about the National Park and the Municipality of Terras de Bouro and an exhibition area, occupying 7 rooms, covering themes such as geology, water, biodiversity of Serra do Gerês, human settlement and local cultural values and history more directly related to the Geira (Roman road).
The same building also includes the Ethnographic Museum of Vilarinho da Furna and next to it the Museum of Geira. This set of structures form the Museum Centre of Campo do Gerês.
