Situated inside the castle of Castro Marim grounds, this museum displays a set of archaeological pieces, which show the characteristics of human occupation from the Late Bronze Age to Roman times, among many other historical periods represented in it. The archaeological excavations in the small hill where it stands allowed recover abundant testimony of housing structures, a wide variety of manufactured parts from different sources, especially those related to food, representing the commercial character of the great urban center that was Castro Marim.
