This Environmental Education Center also includes a nursery of indigenous plants and works also as Serra da Malcata Nature Reserve delegation. The space includes educational and technical buildings, laboratories and greenhouses, also having a large outdoor area.

The Center has environmental education actions for schools, and has an educational garden, as well as a trail next to this infrastructure. Whenever requested, guided tours to the forest nursery and educational workshops are held.
