Consisting of an exhibition, a set of interpretive paths and information materials to support the interpretation of the landscape, the Centro de Interpretação da Paisagem da Amendoeira da Serra (CIPAS) (Amendoeira da Serra Landscape Interpretation Center), more than a space, is a way to raise awareness, of the local population and visitors, about landscape importance.

CIPAS aims to help the visitors to discover the narrative capacity, urge you to "read" the landscape, exploring the multitude of dynamics and complexity of patterns that make the structure of the surrounding territory and raise awareness of the need of its conservation and proper management, according to citizenship attitudes and with the principles of sustainability, based on attitudes of mutual colaboration between People and Nature.     - Serpa: IC27, 3.5 Km after passing Mértola, turn right in the direction of Corte Gafo and go straight on until you find the village of Amendoeira da Serra.

  • To access this space or get more information about it you should previously contact the headquarters of ADPM in Mértola.

    Avoid using this infrastructure in summer, since this is a region with high temperatures this time of year. The village has a small grocery store, but does not have an ATM machine.
