• Miróbriga Archaeological Site Interpretation Center

  • Fortified settlement of the Late Bronze Age and Iron Age, on which was built in Roman times, a city. Miróbriga is one of the most significant traces of Roman times in the southwest of Portugal. The Roman city extends for over 2 km, with ruins of residential buildings, paved streets, a hippodrome (the only Roman one in Portugal), a spa, a bridge and a forum.

    Occupation of the Miróbriga hill dates back to the fourth century BC.

    This archaeological site is classified as a Public Interest.

  • Visit Monte do Paio, with the Interpretation Centre, and see the exhibition and watch the movie about the natural and cultural values of the Nature Reserve of Saint André and Sancha’s Lagoons. (RNLSAS).  Enjoy the lagoon landscape and the routes starting at Monte do Paio.

    Very close is Costa de Santo André’s beach, so enjoy or simply stroll on the vast white sands.
