• National Palace of Sintra

  • National Heritage part of the Cultural Landscape of Sintra, classified by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. It belongs to the Network of European Royal Residences. It’s the only palace, the Portuguese kings has built in the Middle Age,  that has come down to our days almost intact, keeping its main features since the mid sixteenth century.

    The two monumental conical chimneys of the kitchens have become the major symbol of the palace and the town of Sintra.
