    -  Fundão take the N18.* 

    - Castelo Branco take A23 and exit at the node for N18 / Alpedrinha / Castelo Novo. Take the M523 (Alpedrinha direction) and then take the N18 to the village.* 

    *Next to the theater, follow the signs "house of the Cardinal," cutting for R. frei Maurício and then right onto R. António José Mota Salvado and go to the square.

  • Near the palace, at Largo D. João V, leaves the Roman road linking Alpedrinha the Castelo Novo. Visit the village of Alpedrinha, with several public interest buildings ('capela do Leão' - lion chapel - pillory, fountain D. João V), enjoy the inlaid woodwork and transhumance paths during 'Chocalhos - Festival dos Caminhos da Transumância'(Rattles - Festival of the Paths of Transhumance'), which takes place on the 3rd weekend of September.
