  • Here you can see a great diversity and monumentality of granite erosion forms in Montesinho mountain range, due to atmospheric agents (rain, wind ...), including high concentration of “pias” and pseudostratification.

     

    Pia – in Portuguese means sink and is a natural surface cavity temporarily filled with water.

    Pseudostratification - structure in which an appearance of stratification has been produced by a process other than sedimentary deposition.
