  • The reed warbler inhabits medium to large sized reeds. It is represented in the symbol of the Lagoas de Santo André e da Sancha Natural Reserve.

  • Spring and Summer

  • The reed warbler feeds on insects, spiders, small snails and occasionally vegetable matter. It obtains its food on the thick vegetation.

  • The Portuguese population of this species is estimated to be between 2500 and 10 000 couples.
