Apus pallidus (Shelley, 1855)
-
Apodidae
-
The pallid swift is a bird with an aerodynamic body, long and round, with long and pointy wings and a bifurcated tail, which make him an excellent flyer. It exhibits a brown colouration, while its forehead and posterior part of the wings are usually a bit more pale, which explains its name, a white spot on its throat and a dark spot in the ocular region. It can grow to be 18 cm long and have 44 cm span.
