The wildcat is a carnivorous mammal with a robust silhouette and short fur, exhibiting a round muzzle, long tail, short members and retractable claws. Its colouration is grey or yellow with dark spots and stripes and a ringed tail. The pure form of wildcat is distinguishable from its hybrid counter part by the pattern in its colouration and the bigger size. It's body can measure up to 55 cm long with a 30 cm tail and it can weigh 4 kg.
