The Geoffroy's bat is a bat that has a wool like fur, it is brownish red on its back and lighter on its belly, it has large brown ears with a remarkable and characteristic chamfer. It's body can measure up to 4.7 cm long with a 4.2 cm tail and it can weigh 11g.

The Geoffroy's bat finds shelter in caves, mines, buildings, bridges and hunts in bushland and riparian areas.

Spring, Summer and Autumn. However is is difficult to see because it is a rare specie with nocturnal activity.

The Geoffroy's bat feeds preferably on spiders and diptera.
