The lesser mouse eared bat is a bat with a brown colouration on its back and light grey on its belly, and big sized ears. It's body can measure up to 6.6 cm long with a 5.6 cm tail and it can weigh 21 g.

The lesser mouse-eared bat takes shelter, in our country, in caves, mines, and other underground shelters and hunts in areas with grass vegetation, such as pastures, steppes and meadows.

Spring, Summer and Autumn. However is is difficult to see because it is a rare specie with nocturnal activity.

The lesser mouse-eared bat feeds mainly on green grasshoppers, mole crickets and grubs, which it sometimes captures directly from the vegetation.
