On Saturdays, August 10 and 24, 2019, from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m., come to the EVOA - Space for Visitation and Birdwatching in the Tagus estuary, see and know the nocturnal birds of prey. According to the EVOA, in these flatlands you can see more than 15 owls per kilometer! The studies show that the south flatlands of Vila Franca de Xira, with its agricultural landscape and an extensive network of ditches connected to the Tagus River, is probably the place in the world with greater abundance of owls. Come and meet these mysterious birds that work at night to control crop pests!
