ADERE-Peneda-Gerês is a development association working for over 20 years, in 5 municipalities in Peneda-Gerês National Park (PNPG) (Ponte da Barca, Melgaço, Montalegre, Ponte da Barca and Terras de Bouro), in order to make known and promote the whole area of the Park, its flora and fauna, natural landscapes, local products, its traditions and to support local people.

It develops several kinds of work in order to make known the only Portuguese National Park. Every year, at the headquarters, it provides information (in Portuguese, English and French) to hundreds of tourists there are directed to gain more knowledge about the park, such as where to stay, what to do, what to see, where to eat, handicrafts, regional products ... This information is supported by various materials produced, including maps, publications, field guides, trails brochures, etc .. It has also a network of hiking trails covering the five municipalities of the National Park.

It has a diverse technical team, with different areas of training and extensive experience. ADERE-PG, by establishing contacts among its members and businessmen in the region, in the area of accommodation, catering, animation, crafts, local products, operating in the entire territory of Park, has a key role in promoting and disseminating the brand Natural.PT.
