Inside the medieval walls of the historic village of Castelo Rodrigo, Casa da Cisterna (Cistern House) has a warm and comfortable decoration, which is reflected in each of the 11 rooms and suites and in other spaces, but above all in the details. Here, you can enjoy the magnificent landscape over the plateau and the village houses.

Having the house undergone several expansions, the main house, where the common areas are located, is in an upper place. Here, you can have breakfast or dinner at sunset on the balcony and terrace; and still enjoy the pool and loungers in the sun during the hot summer days. In winter, when the days are shorter, enjoy other pleasures, like flipping through the books in the library and other house spaces, listening to quiet music or talk to the sound of crackling of the various fireplaces (some in the rooms).

Around the house you can feel history, with traces of distant times, like medieval churches and other historical monuments. Knowing the Mirandeses woolly donkeys (and do some sightseeing in its company), visit the Palaeolithic engravings of Côa valley, go through the territory of the great birds of prey - eagles and vultures, coming from the crags of the International Douro and the Coa Valley, using the thermal currents to wander around the sky in soft glides - are some of the activities you can do.
