About 80 years ago, António, a professional footballer who became a baker, opened a bakery here, of course! Over time, it became the restaurant António Padeiro (means baker), pleasant and with great character, that her granddaughter, Ana Branco, today manages.
Do not miss the shrimp and cod “açordas” (a bread soup), the roast kid, the chicken and partridge, both in the pan, and the black pork tenderloin with bacon and apple from Alcobaça, not forgetting the delicious homemade desserts made by D. Julia, descendants of the rich convent’s confectionery.
Being faithfully to the local gastronomy and with a good wine cellar, Restaurant António Padeiro accepts reservations, but if you do not have one, you will always be welcome. Suitable for groups, it has an open area and catering service.
Thursday to Tuesday from noon to 3 p.m. and from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Wednesday is closed.
