Miniature handcrafted products representative of the agricultural activity in the Alto Minho are the pieces made by these artisans that remember the typical granaries, threshing-floors and old tools used by the populations of this fertile region.

The granary (known as espigueiro, canastro, caniço or hôrreo) is a structure usually made of stone and wood, with the function of drying the coarse corn thanks to the air circulation through the lateral openings and, at the same time, preventing the corn destruction by rodents.
