In Labrugeira - Alenquer –Portugal, Casa do Juncal (Juncal's house) owes its name due to its location in the oldest part of the village - Juncal. In this place, the predominant flora was the reed (junco in Portuguese), a plant that likes zones abundant in water, in the case next to the river, and whose stems were used in the region to make mats, benches and chairs... The rural nature of this small village and the friendliness of the inhabitants make your stay restful, quiet and very safe. The city is close, but the bucolic nature of country life involves the visitor, taking him or her to forget the hustle and bustle of big cities.

The initial construction dates back to the 19th century, maintaining the materials used in the walls (adobe and stone), rehabilitated with mortars for its conservation and isolation, preventing humidity inside the house. To the traditional techniques of construction was incorporated the most modern technology of thermal insulation, in the walls, ceilings and lining of the roofs. The structure of these has been completely remodeled with the use of pine wood. The Portuguese sidewalk was used to cover the floor of the room and the inner courtyard, where the jacuzi is.

Thus, both inside and outside the house were respected the original structure and layout, complemented with the comfort and modernity of a city apartment.

Besides de 2 bedrooms and the suite, Casa do Juncal has a lounge with a dining area, TV and sofa bed, bathrooms with hydromassage cabin, hair dryer and electric towel rails, as well as heating in all rooms. The area is rich in architectural heritage, landscape and natural values, so a visit to  Montejunto hills, the Ice Factory and windmills are experiences not to be missed.
