Moinho do Marco is a unique corner of the world. You can come here for a romantic getaway or for a few days with the family, or simply to rest; to enjoy peace and tranquility, ocean views, deserted beaches, fresh fish, hidden wine gems. It's an escape to tranquility, peace, quiet, pure air, scenery beyond words and at less than 5 minutes by car to the old part of Setúbal city.

Two experiences to choose from:

1) Moinho / the windmill - ideal for couples. The mill will make sure you have a true escape from daily life, routine. Here the clock will stop and it'll be just you two.

2) Apartment - ideal for a group of 4 friends, or a family of 5. We will happily provide all the necessary for newly arrived family members.

1.- The “Moinho” / The windmill:

Who can resist to the enchantment of lying down under the gears of an 1855 mill? Moinho offers a unique opportunity to travel back in time: 150 years, roughly. It was used to produce flour and has been remodeled to offer a unique experience, while keeping the vast majority of the inner machinery used in flour making. The master bedroom is in the top part, then there’s a mezzanine, at ground-level there’s the living room, kitchenette, table and chairs. Bathroom dug in the rock with natural light. The natural light is got through fanlights open in the ceiling. You have at your disposal a large shower in semi-circular shape, hair dryer as well as a towel-heater. The occupants of the mill have at a short distance and into exclusive, access to a barbecue with veranda.  The barbecue is equipped with a worktop and a sink in marble as well as a coal barbecue.  All these, while you enjoy the stunning sights, sitting around a stone used long ago in the grinding work of the mill. Appliances: glass cooktop, music (USB, MP3, CD, radio), microwave oven with grill, kettle, toaster, capsules coffee machine and fridge with small freezer. Air conditioning / heat pump.

2.- The apartment - the self-catering apartment offers a calm environment for a family of 4 seeking time together in a relaxing setting. Remodelled in January 2016, the bright living & dining area is equipped with sofa-bed, table and chairs, shelf with books, toys and table games; a fully equipped kitchen, master bedroom with Queen bed with no-end, bedroom with bunkbed and extra bed. You may also opt to take your meals outside, by the pool. The pool is fenced and is just 1 m. deep. Appliances: refrigerator with small freezer, glass-ceramic cooktop, extractor, coffee machine, toaster, kettle, food mixer, dishes, cutlery, glassware, set of kitchen pots and pans, Tupperware, iron and ironing board, and all the necessary to make a quick cleaning...Central heating.

Under the shaded area, common area during the day, there are wooden chairs, tables and deck chairs to hunker down comfortably to read, to relax or just to see the wonderful views over the Sado estuary river and Tróia peninsula as well as to observe the flight of the birds from Arrábida Nature Park.

When the dawn comes, it is simply fantastic to lean under the starry sky in which we can see clearly the constellations. Summer nights even offer us the meteor shower.
