The territory of Terras de Cavaleiros Geopark is in Trás-os-Montes region in northern Portugal and corresponds to the area of the municipality of Macedo de Cavaleiros with about 700 km2. The Geopark was recognized as a UNESCO Global Geopark since November 2015. Terras de Cavaleiros Geopark Association is responsible for the management of this Geopark, developing its strategy of sustainable development and strengthening the promotion of the geotourism in its territory.
The peaceful and magical environment of this Geopark invites the nature lovers to explore its landscapes, discover the geological singularity of the territory through its rocks, the biodiversity, the gastronomy and the hospitality of its inhabitants.
