These "shelters" or mountain lodges where you can enjoy sweeping views between narrow valleys and fearful peaks of Peneda-Gerês National Park, remain in the village of Pitões das Júnias, a typical mountain village in the intermediate zone of Gerês and Barroso to 1164 m altitude. The shelters have basic amenities of modern life, but are specially prepared for those who enjoy the simple life of the mountain and the nature.

These shelters with a mezzanine are equipped with double bed, single bed, single sofa bed, bathroom and kitchen. The heating is by a wood stove (the firewood is provided for free to the guests). It has a 30 liters water heater. From the shelter you can enjoy a splendid view of the mountains and the dam of Paradela. In the village are restaurants, grocery stores and bakery and can be do everything on foot.
