House of Edras was once a typical house of Aldeia Nova planted in Douro International Nature Park. This village, in Miranda do Douro county, remains a typical border rural community. In addition to Portuguese, the population is fluent in mirandesa language and well master Spanish. In fact, relations with people across the Douro river are very friendly, cemented in festivities, as well as the ancient smuggling practices. To the border populations Douro river was more than a point of union, was an encounter of peoples and cultures, as unique as the landscapes of river cliffs, shaped by dreams and magic.

The house has been carefully restored preserving the outer façade and the original structure, but the interiors are modern, with a sober and bright décor. It has nice living and leisure spaces, 6 bedrooms with private bathrooms, and a "Family Space", a private area with 2 double bedrooms and a bathroom. All rooms are different, cozy with a unique decoration. The exterior spaces are very nice in full communion with the village... The outdoor swimming pool is open from May to October. Breakfast is delicious with local homemade and natural products, , consisting of tea, milk and coffee, orange juice, fresh and toasted bread, cake, jam, honey, butter, ham, cheese, fruit and partridge eggs ( seasonal) - is included in the accommodation price. If desired, in advance, you can take your ride, walk or bike, a basket with lunch consisting of bread, cheese or sausage or jam, fruit, boiled eggs, a bottle of wine and water. We serve meals on request, which must be requested in advance. The dishes are based on the regional rich cuisine with local products. Worth the taste experience!
