  • Herdade dos Lagos (Lakes Estate) belongs to Zeppenfeld family for over 30 years, and the cultivation of vines, olive and carob trees are in a front place, being today an organic farming wine company (Control Authority: SATIVA-PT-BIO-03). Sociedade Agrícola (Agricultural Society) takes part of the excellent conditions that can be found in the Alentejo, with its vast, unspoiled land and conserved natural resources, resulting into wines and natural products that enable a pleasure without limits.

     

    In about 25 ha of the Estate grow the Syrah (an international star), Aragonez (known in Spain as Tempranillo), Touriga Nacional (a grape traditionally used in Oporto wine) and Alicante Bouschet (with an intense color set).

     

    The differentiation, resulting into the production of different qualities of wine, starts in the vineyard itself. The best area is used for Reserve wines and is also there that there is a more intense pruning. The area with more shade is for Rosé and Blanc de Noir. Because its harvest is the earliest and the one that has less pruning, it can be obtained a lower alcohol content and good acidity. The grapes are harvested, by hand, early in the morning and transported in cold to the winery. To produce quality wines in this magnificent setting, it has the experience of winemaker Carsten Heinemeyer.

  • HDL Blanc de Noir - optimal serving temperature 16-18 ° C, fits well with fresh summer dishes, fresh salads, seafood or just by itself!

    HDL Reserva - 16° to 18ºC, matches ideally to grilles food, like Portuguese Porco Preto (black pig) and selected cheeses. It is recommended to aerate the wine prior to serving.

    HDL Reserva Syrah - 16 to 18ºC, matches ideally with grilled meat, vegetables, deer or savory hard cheeses.

    HDL Rosé - 6° to 8ºC, matches ideally for light summer dishes, crispy salads and sea food.
